Barenaked ladies are men.

I have added a little Ace Music doo dah over there on the right. Click it, go on... I did have the option of setting it to play automatically but I thought that could quickly get tiresome. However, I like it, and as it is promoting my favourite band I am happy to have it there, for now.

It is a beautiful live version of "Maybe you're right" from their latest album "Barenaked Ladies are Me."
They are an amazingly talented band, much misunderstood. It pisses me off that many view them as a kind of novelty act, remembered for their biggest hit "One week". In truth they are a cynical and depressive bunch of guys, but they wrap their caustic wit in layers of sparkling pop/rock and gorgeous harmonies. Smart and bitterly funny, able to free style and dance, elequont, sincere, political, caring, Eco friendly and just darn hawt! Plus they have set up their own "Desperation records". So indie! How can you resist?

Ooh fancy! I'm impressed by your wizzardry! Don't get too carried away though, I know it's tempting to go completely insane and cover the page in millions of ridiculous animations and crappy buttons that will mean it takes 5 minutes to load, but don't.

Wow, that's very cool. I want one!
And thanks for re-introducing me to the BN Ladies, will definitely give them another chance.

K - you sound like you're telling me off! It's my only clicky gizmo thang, and it's my Ladies. Plus I like the way the white is so in keeping with the look of my blog. Dammit woman, I am proud of my blog I tell ya!
Did it take long to load then? On my own system it's almost instant. Hmmm. well, it doesn't have to stay forever.

T - Oh do give them another chance. Apart from the fact that Steven Page's vocal talents combined with his dancing make me go quite wibbly, their lyrics are fab too. They are very pun tastic, love to play with their words, and underneath all the poppy happy sounds is a deep truth.

Oh no! Sorry it was meant as a joke about those nightmare blogs that are a complete visual migrane and now causes my computer to have a stroke trying to load it. This one is fab, of course!

Well phew then! Were you thinking of anyone we know? ;)

(I have noticed a certain plethora of gadgets and so on on the blog of an aspiring writer/ media whore that we know.)
